IKS-PLUS COMMUNICATIONS first opened it's doors in Kelowna, British Columbia on November 5th,1985. We have been involved in the satellite industry since 1979, and we have experienced the birth and the demise of the C-Band.

We were involved with installations and servicing of C-Band systems up until the introduction of the "mini dish" in 1991 when DirecTV was first launched in the US, and then in 1995, we were the first authorized dealer in Kelowna, BC, when Starchoice first was launched in September 1995, and then Bell Expressvu in October 1997 after Bell took over for the money strapped AlphaStar system which was originally funded by TeeComm Electronics in 1996.
Over the years, we have performed all sorts of installations & service for residential and commercial satellite systems ranging from C-band to the newer mini-dishes. In 1986, we landed a contract for a major leading communications company in the U.S., Multi-Com TeleCommunications, who are based out of Arlington, Virginia. With the involvement with Multi-Com, we helped install and set-up satellite data-link systems from 1986 to 1989 for the North American Auto Parts Network, throughout British Columbia and southern Alberta.
IKS-PLUS was also contracted by DirecTV and Dish Network to perform installations and service in Washington, Oregon and Idaho, as well as the US midwest between 1996 and 2001.
IKS-PLUS has a vast client base all across Canada, with offices in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario, as well as Cedar Rapids, Ia. and Hays, Ks. European offices located in Wroclaw, Poland and Prague, Czech Republic
We also offer prewiring and installations of home theatre and CCTV security systems for residential homes.
